Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years old or older
  • You must have been diagnosed with sudden sensory neural hearing loss (a rapid loss of hearing, usually in one ear)
  • You must not have an infection or problem in your outer or middle ear
  • You must not have had a skull fracture or ear surgery in the past
  • You must not have other nerve or brain symptoms like facial weakness or dizziness
