Who can take part
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Your cancer must be HER2-positive (a specific protein marker on the cancer cells).
- You cannot have received any prior treatment for advanced gastric cancer (if you are in the first-line group) or for curable gastric cancer (if you are in the perioperative group).
- You must be physically active enough to do daily activities without help (ECOG 0-1).
- You cannot have untreated or unstable brain metastases, active autoimmune disease, or serious heart problems.
- You must agree to use effective birth control during and for 7 months after the study (if you could become pregnant or father a child).
