- Your breast cancer must be HER2-positive (confirmed by a central lab test)
- Cancer has returned or spread to other parts of your body
- You have not received chemotherapy or HER2-targeted therapy for advanced disease before
- You are in good health overall (able to care for yourself with minimal help)
- Your heart, liver, and kidneys are working well enough
- You are willing to use reliable birth control for at least 7 months after treatment ends
