Tracking Antibiotic Levels in ICU Brain Injury Patients

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are in the intensive care unit for a sudden brain injury.
  • Your kidneys are clearing drugs faster than usual (confirmed by a urine test).
  • You are receiving one of these antibiotics: amoxicillin/clavulanic acid, cefotaxime, piperacillin/tazobactam, cefepime, or meropenem.
  • You have health insurance coverage.
  • You are not expected to live less than 24 hours.
