  • You are age 18 or older.
  • Your triglycerides are between 200 and 500 mg/dL (a blood test result).
  • Your total cholesterol is less than 240 mg/dL.
  • You do not have diabetes, kidney disease, or a history of heart problems.
  • You are not taking any medications for cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar, or inflammation.
  • You are willing to eat foods like fish, nuts, and seeds for the study.
