Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have been told you have mixed dyslipidemia (high cholesterol and triglycerides).
  • Your fasting triglycerides are between 135 and 499 mg/dL (a blood test result).
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 27 or higher (you are overweight).
  • Your high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) level is above 2 mg/L (a measure of inflammation).
  • You have been taking a stable dose of a statin (cholesterol medication) for at least 8 weeks.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you have no allergy to fish or seafood.
  • You have not taken omega-3 supplements in the last 8 weeks, and you are not in another clinical trial right now.
