Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with rectal adenocarcinoma (a type of cancer) that has not spread to other organs.
  • Your tumor is located within 10 cm of the anal opening and is stage II or III (locally advanced).
  • Your tumor shows normal levels of certain repair proteins (called pMMR) or is microsatellite stable (MSS).
  • You have not had any prior treatment for this cancer, such as radiation, chemotherapy, or immunotherapy.
  • You are between 18 and 75 years old and have a good daily activity level (ECOG 0 or 1).
  • You are willing to provide tumor tissue and blood samples for testing.
