Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older.
- You must have primary aldosteronism as defined by standard medical guidelines.
- You must be able to stop taking certain blood pressure medicines (called MRAs or potassium-sparing diuretics) if you are currently taking them.
- Your kidney function must be good enough (eGFR at least 45).
- Your blood potassium level must be between 3.0 and 5.0 mmol/L at the start.
- Your blood pressure must be in a specific range: sitting systolic between 135 and 170 mmHg, and diastolic no higher than 105 mmHg.
