Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older and of Chinese descent.
- Your sitting blood pressure must be between 140 and 170 mmHg (top number) despite taking at least 2 different blood pressure medications for 4 weeks.
- You cannot be taking a water pill (diuretic) as one of your blood pressure medications.
- Your kidney function (eGFR) must be at least 45 mL/min, and your potassium level must be normal (between 3.5 and 5.0).
- You must be willing to use highly effective birth control if you could become pregnant.
- You should not have had a stroke or heart attack in the last 6 months.
