  • You are currently on a ventilator and ready for a spontaneous breathing trial
  • You do not have an allergy to doxapram
  • You do not have a neuromuscular disorder (a condition affecting nerves and muscles)
  • Your doctor can assess your diaphragm with ultrasound or similar test
