Who can take part

  • You have knee osteoarthritis and are scheduled for a total knee replacement on one knee.
  • Your doctor says you are healthy enough to do exercise before surgery and can follow instructions.
  • You or a caregiver can use a smartphone to get messages about the program.
  • You are not already doing a structured lower leg exercise program.
  • Your surgery is scheduled 3 to 7 days after you are admitted to the hospital.
