Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 80 years old (for healthy volunteers) or between 55 and 80 (if you have memory concerns and certain brain changes).
  • You need to speak French well enough to complete thinking and memory tests.
  • You must be able to have an MRI scan—no metal inside your body and no pacemaker or similar device.
  • You cannot have untreated sleep disorders or an irregular sleep schedule (like shift work).
  • You cannot have current psychiatric conditions, moderate depression, or high anxiety.
  • You must not take certain medications (like benzodiazepines or antidepressants) or use recreational drugs or excessive alcohol or caffeine.
