Who can take part

  • You had your first stroke (not a repeat stroke) in the last 12 months
  • You are between 40 and 80 years old
  • The stroke caused weakness or trouble using one hand
  • Your arm muscles are not too tight (spasticity level below 3 on a standard scale)
  • You can follow simple two-step instructions
  • You do not have epilepsy, a history of seizures, or take medications that raise seizure risk
