  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous) thyroid disease.
  • You are scheduled for thyroid surgery.
  • You have not had a previous nerve injury.
  • You do not have an ongoing neurological disorder (like a nerve or brain condition).
