Who can take part

  • You are between 20 and 60 years old.
  • You are scheduled to have one side of your thyroid and the central lymph nodes removed.
  • You have not had any previous head or neck surgeries.
  • You do not have any throat or voice problems, such as vocal cord issues or hoarseness.
  • You do not have any nerve or brain conditions that affect your throat.
  • You are able to complete a voice assessment and a sound analysis test.
