Who can take part

  • You have IgA nephropathy confirmed by a kidney biopsy.
  • Your urine protein level is more than 1 gram per day with visible blood in your urine.
  • Or your urine protein is less than 1 gram per day with blood, and your risk of needing dialysis within 5 years is over 11% based on a special risk calculator.
  • Your kidney biopsy shows certain active changes, such as cell growth or inflammation in the filtering units.
  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • Your kidney function is above a certain level (eGFR greater than 20).
  • You do not have diabetes, other kidney diseases, or other serious illnesses that could affect the trial.
