Who can take part
- You either have type 1 diabetes with a larger waist, or you don't have diabetes but have a similar waist size.
- For people with type 1 diabetes: you must use an insulin pump and a continuous glucose monitor.
- You must not be allergic to eggs.
- You must be able to have an MRI scan (no claustrophobia or metal implants).
- You must not smoke heavily or drink more than two alcoholic drinks per day.
- You must not have serious heart, liver, or kidney disease, or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
