  • Aged 18 to 75 years old
  • Diagnosed with fatty liver disease related to metabolism
  • Significant liver fat seen on a special ultrasound (FibroScan CAP value 240 or higher)
  • Liver enzyme levels are somewhat elevated but not too high
  • Low risk of advanced liver scarring (fibrosis)
  • Stable weight for at least 6 weeks before the study
