Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with multiple myeloma and are scheduled to receive chemotherapy followed by a stem cell transplant.
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You have a PET scan that shows active myeloma before or within 7 days of starting treatment.
- You are generally able to care for yourself (WHO performance status 0-2) or have a higher score only due to myeloma itself.
- You do not have uncontrolled diabetes or any other cancer that is not considered cured.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding and are willing to give written consent.
