Who can take part

  • You must have a confirmed diagnosis of multiple myeloma meeting specific criteria (like certain blood or bone marrow findings).
  • You must have measurable disease, like abnormal proteins in the blood or urine, or a visible lesion on a scan.
  • You can be either newly diagnosed or have myeloma that has relapsed or not responded to at least one prior treatment.
  • You must be 18 years or older and able to undergo a PET/CT scan.
  • You cannot have a history of allergic reaction to the imaging agent, severe claustrophobia, or uncontrolled illness.
  • Women who can become pregnant must have a negative pregnancy test and use contraception; breastfeeding must stop during the study.
