Who can take part

  • Be between 1 and 25 years old
  • Have been diagnosed with stage 3 type 1 diabetes within the last 8 weeks
  • Have at least one diabetes-related antibody in a blood test
  • Have a C-peptide level of 0.2 nmol/L or higher
  • Be able to start the study drug within 56 days of diagnosis
