New drug for recently diagnosed type 1 diabetes

Who can take part

  • You must be between 8 and 45 years old.
  • Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes within the last 100 days.
  • Must test positive for at least one diabetes-related antibody.
  • Must have a certain level of C-peptide (a sign your body still makes some insulin).
  • Weigh at least 35 kg (77 lbs) if 18 or older, or be within healthy weight percentiles for your age if under 18.
  • Agree to avoid certain vaccines (except flu and COVID-19) during the study and for 3 months after treatment.
