Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • You are scheduled for a TAVR procedure to replace a narrowed heart valve (aortic stenosis).
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 30 or higher, OR your BMI is between 27 and 30 AND you have at least one weight-related health issue like diabetes, high blood pressure, or sleep apnea.
  • You have not used any GLP-1 medications (like Ozempic, Wegovy) in the last 90 days.
  • You have not had a heart attack, stroke, or certain heart procedures in the last 60 days.
  • You do not have severe kidney disease (on dialysis or with very low kidney function).
