Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for a heart valve procedure (TAVR or balloon valvuloplasty) that uses temporary pacing.
  • You are willing and able to come for follow-up visits.
  • You understand the study and have signed a consent form.
  • You do not have a recent heart attack, cardiac arrest, or stroke (within the last 7 – 90 days).
  • You do not have severe calcium in your aortic valve, a bicuspid valve with calcium, or active infection in your heart.
  • You are not pregnant, haven't had emergency procedures, and aren't on life support.
