  • You have had a stroke, brain tumor, or a brain condition that affects thinking or language for at least 3 months.
  • You are expected to live longer than 6 months.
  • Your condition makes daily life harder (like trouble finding words or thinking clearly).
  • You have a caregiver who can help you make decisions if needed.
  • You do not have metal implants in your head (like a clip or plate).
  • You are not pregnant, do not have epilepsy, and are medically stable.
