Who can take part
- You must be between 21 and 85 years old.
- You have a HeartMate 3 LVAD (a type of heart pump) that is working well.
- You are stable enough to leave the hospital and go home.
- You do not have an active infection, liver or kidney failure, or a blood clotting disorder.
- You haven't had a heart attack or stroke in the last 2 months, and aren't expecting a heart transplant in the next 6 months.
