Who can take part
- You have a type of liver cancer called mixed hepatocellular-cholangiocarcinoma (features of both liver and bile duct cancer), confirmed by a biopsy.
- Your cancer cannot be removed with surgery or treated with local methods like ablation or embolization.
- You have not had any prior systemic (body-wide) cancer therapy for this condition, including immunotherapy or targeted drugs.
- You have not previously received HAIC (chemotherapy infused into the liver artery).
- Your liver function is fairly good (Child-Pugh score of 5 to 7, a measure of liver health) and you are well enough to walk and care for yourself (ECOG performance status 2 or lower).
- If you have hepatitis B, the virus is well controlled with medication (viral load below 100 IU/mL) and you are on antiviral treatment.
