Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old
  • You have bipolar disorder type 1 or 2
  • You have been depressed for at least 2 weeks with moderate to severe symptoms
  • You have tried at least two mood treatments that didn't work for you
  • You can lie still on your back for the procedure and attend study visits
  • You do not have bleeding risks, heart problems, or metal implants in your body
