Who can take part
- Age 16 to 30 years old.
- Diagnosed with major depression that has lasted at least 2 years, or you've had 4 or more separate episodes (the current episode lasting at least 1 year).
- You've tried at least 3 different depression medications from at least 2 different drug types, and they didn't work well enough.
- You've either refused, couldn't tolerate, or didn't benefit from electroconvulsive therapy (ECT).
- Your current depression symptoms are moderate to severe (score of 20 or higher on a standard rating scale).
- No other major mental health conditions like bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or severe personality disorders.
