Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old
  • You are scheduled for video-assisted (keyhole) lung surgery
  • You do not have a history of kidney problems or chronic pain
  • You have not taken strong painkillers or anti-inflammatory drugs regularly for more than 3 months in the past year
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding

Oliceridine for reducing chronic pain after lung surgery

This study tests whether a new pain medication (oliceridine) given through an IV patient-controlled pump can reduce chronic pain after lung surgery. Participants will receive either oliceridine or a standard opioid for pain control after a minimally invasive lung resection. The study will follow patients for several months to see if they develop long-term pain.
