Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You had a stroke (not in the brainstem) at least 6 months ago.
  • You have balance problems and can stand for 20 seconds and walk 30 feet with or without help.
  • You are not currently in physical therapy or another balance study.
  • You do not have metal implants in your head, and you are not claustrophobic (afraid of tight spaces).
