Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with a severe lack of blood flow to your leg that causes pain at rest, a non-healing sore, or dead tissue (gangrene).
  • You are healthy enough to undergo X-ray angiography if needed.
  • You are not allergic to contrast dye used in X-rays and your kidneys work well enough for it.
  • You do not have artery disease caused by inflammation (vasculitis) or Buerger's disease.
  • You can have a complete ultrasound exam of your leg arteries.
