Who can take part

  • You are an adult (18 or older).
  • You have critical limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI) with significant blockages in the femoropopliteal arteries.
  • You have Rutherford class 5, meaning non-healing wounds or ulcers on your leg or foot.
  • Your doctor was unable to access the blocked artery from the groin (antegrade approach) or it failed.
  • You need a retrograde puncture (from the ankle area) as part of your angioplasty or stent procedure.
  • You do not have an active infection at the planned puncture site (ankle).
  • You do not have severe artery calcification or major anatomical issues that would make the puncture unsafe.
