Who can take part

  • Your baby was born at the hospital where the trial is taking place (not transferred in).
  • Your baby is 32 weeks or less of pregnancy at birth OR weighs 1500 grams (about 3.3 pounds) or less.
  • Your baby has breathing problems (respiratory distress syndrome) and has been on a breathing machine for at least 24 hours.
  • Your baby does not have major birth defects.
