Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You have type 2 diabetes
- Your kidneys are working at 30% to 89% of normal (based on a blood test)
- You have protein or another marker in your urine (UACR between 30 and 5000)
- Your average blood sugar over the last 3 months (HbA1c) is between 6.5% and 12%
- You are taking a stable dose of an ACE inhibitor or ARB (blood pressure meds that protect kidneys) for at least 4 weeks
