Who can take part

  • You have type 2 diabetes
  • You are 20 years old or older
  • Your recent A1c (average blood sugar) is between 6.5% and 9.0%
  • You have diabetic kidney disease shown by your urine albumin-to-creatinine ratio (UACR) being 30 to under 2000
  • Your kidneys are working enough for the study (eGFR 30 or higher)
  • You have been on a kidney-protecting blood pressure medicine called a RAS inhibitor (ACE/ARB/ARNI or similar) for at least 4 weeks
