Gene therapy for heart bypass patients

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have blocked coronary arteries and are scheduled for bypass surgery (CABG), but your surgeon thinks some blockages may remain after surgery.
  • Your heart's pumping strength (ejection fraction) is between 25% and 50%.
  • You have not had a heart attack or stroke in the last 60 days.
  • You have not been treated for cancer (except certain skin cancers) in the last 5 years.
