Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older and planning your first heart bypass surgery.
  • The bypass must include a graft to the left front artery (LAD) and at least one other blocked artery.
  • The artery to be bypassed with the study vessel must be at least 70% blocked (or have reduced blood flow) and be a certain size.
  • You cannot have had a heart attack in the last 7 days or be in unstable condition.
  • You cannot have had previous heart surgery or need another heart procedure at the same time.
