Who can take part

  • You are between 30 and 80 years old.
  • If you are between 30 and 49, you must have diabetes for at least 15 years, or have multiple risk factors like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, smoking, or a family history of heart disease or stroke.
  • You have had a stroke or a high-risk mini-stroke (TIA) in the last 7 days.
  • You have a narrowed artery in the brain (more than 50%) that caused your symptoms.
  • Your stroke or mini-stroke is not caused by a heart problem, a tear in the artery, or other specific conditions.
