Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older and have been diagnosed with ADHD by a psychiatrist.
  • You are currently taking methylphenidate (brand name Ritalin) and have been on the same dose for at least 2 weeks.
  • Your BMI (body mass index) is either 30 or higher (obese group) or under 30 (non-obese group).
  • You have not taken any stomach acid blockers (like omeprazole) in the last 2 weeks.
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant, and if you are of childbearing age, you use an effective form of birth control.
