This trial tests a drug called pafolacianine (CYTALUX) that makes cancer cells glow during surgery. It may help doctors see and remove more cancer from the stomach, esophagus, or appendix. You take the drug before surgery, and a special camera shows the glowing cancer.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You have been diagnosed with stomach, esophagus, or appendix cancer, or your doctor strongly suspects it
  • You are scheduled for surgery or a procedure to check for cancer spread in the abdomen
  • You agree to stop taking folic acid or multivitamins with folic acid for 48 hours before the drug is given
  • You do not have a history of allergic reactions to indocyanine green or any ingredient in CYTALUX
  • You are not pregnant or planning to become pregnant during the study
