5-year follow-up of SMILE for farsightedness

This study checks how your eyes are doing 5 years after a SMILE procedure to correct farsightedness (hyperopia). If you took part in the original PHOBOS study, this is a one-time follow-up visit to see how well the procedure held up.

Who can take part

  • You must have already had the SMILE procedure for farsightedness as part of the earlier PHOBOS study.
  • You need to be able to understand the study information and give your permission (informed consent).
  • You must be willing to come to all the appointments and tests required for this one-time visit.
  • You should not have any serious eye or general health problems that would prevent you from completing the visit.
