Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 70 years old.
- You have early-stage breast cancer that is HER2-positive (a protein that helps cancer grow).
- Your tumor is either T2 or larger, or it is T1c with cancer in the lymph nodes under the arm.
- You have not had any previous chemotherapy, radiation, or targeted therapy for this breast cancer.
- Your heart, liver, kidney, and blood tests are within safe limits for chemotherapy.
- If you can become pregnant, you must have a negative pregnancy test and agree to use effective birth control.
