Who can take part

  • You have HER2-positive breast cancer that has not spread to distant organs.
  • You have not had surgery, chemotherapy, or targeted therapy for this breast cancer before.
  • You are 18 years or older and in generally good health (able to do daily activities).
  • Your kidney, liver, and heart function are within certain safe limits.
  • You have not had significant nerve damage from other causes.
  • You are willing to have a small piece of your stored tumor tissue sent for research.
