Who can take part

  • You are having urological surgery
  • You are classified as ASA 1, 2, or 3 (generally healthy to having a severe disease that is not life-threatening)
  • You do not have a difficult airway
  • You do not have a significant upper respiratory infection
  • You do not have an airway disease (like asthma or COPD)
  • You have not had head or neck surgery
  • You are not pregnant
  • You do not have an upper gastrointestinal tract disease (like GERD or stomach ulcer)
