Who can take part
- You have a thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm (a widening in the part of the aorta in your chest and belly) or a complex abdominal aortic aneurysm, and the largest width is at least 4 cm.
- The healthy area of the aorta just above the aneurysm (the landing zone) is at least 2 cm long and not too angled.
- If you've had a prior leak or ballooning of the aorta, or a previous stent-graft repair that failed, you may still qualify if the problem includes the part where the arteries to your organs branch off.
- You are scheduled for endovascular repair (through a small cut in the groin) using a device to keep blood flowing to your kidney and bowel arteries.
- You can provide written consent and are willing to come back for follow-up visits.
