Who can take part

  • You must have osteosarcoma that has come back or not responded to treatment, and you must have received at least 3 of these drugs before: methotrexate, doxorubicin, cisplatin, or ifosfamide.
  • You need to be at least 60 on a scale that measures your ability to do daily activities (like being up and about, even if in a wheelchair).
  • You must have recovered from the side effects of any prior cancer treatments, with specific time gaps since your last treatment (for example, at least 2 weeks since chemotherapy, 7 days since certain targeted drugs, etc.).
  • Your blood counts, kidney function, liver function, and heart function need to be within acceptable levels (tests will be done to check).
  • You cannot have active, uncontrolled infections, certain bone metabolism disorders, or a history of organ or stem cell transplant.
  • You must be willing to avoid certain medications (like strong CYP3A4 drugs, bisphosphonates, and denosumab) and use effective birth control if you are of childbearing age.
