Who can take part
- You have drug-resistant focal epilepsy, meaning seizures that don't stop with medication.
- You've already had a 3.0 Tesla MRI and video EEG to look at your brain.
- You are planning to have either brain surgery or a stereo EEG (SEEG) to find the seizure source.
- You are willing to get three different PET scans (FDG, SV2A, and TSPO) to help map your brain.
- You do not have conditions like a past head injury, claustrophobia, severe heart or brain disease, or other listed issues.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and can avoid taking sleep medications for the scans.
