How heart medications affect blood flow in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
  • You are scheduled for or willing to have a heart MRI that checks blood flow in the heart muscle.
  • You are already taking the standard medications for your condition.
  • You do not have severe kidney disease, liver disease, or a history of dangerous heart rhythms.

PET scan study for chest pain in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

This trial uses a special PET scan to see if the drug Mavacamten (Camzyos) helps improve blood flow to the heart muscle in people with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) who have chest pain or shortness of breath.
