Who can take part
- You are having kidney surgery where the kidney's blood supply will be temporarily stopped for 30 minutes or less.
- You are between 18 and 65 years old.
- You must also meet the trial's criteria for Chinese medicine diagnosis.
- You are not in advanced kidney failure (stage 4 or 5) and do not have sudden kidney failure.
- You are not taking certain long-term kidney medications like Jingui Shenqi Pills.
